Point 6 is the most accurate and describes my way of writing the best. I do not use any writing rules, I just write and see what happens. Once I like a sentence it is saved from editing, at least on a temporal notice, because I can change my mind at any time!
What do I do to make sure a sentence is right, or "feels" right? I mimic Dawkins's voice or Hitchens's voice and utter it out loud, if it sounds right, it is right.
